Hello! (Four years on)

Hello to anyone who may come across this blog. I ran this four years while I was learning Japanese for the Leaving in 2016 and was going to keep on learning the language as I went on! Sadly, life got in the way and I was disheartened after getting my results and not getting enough for my dream course. I ended up in the school of  BEEs in UCC however, and it was probably for the best!

I'm waiting to start my final year in college and thought I might pick up the language again and came across my old blog. I've decided that I will start posting resources again, in the hope that it may assist anyone wishing to learn the language. My twitter page will soon be up and running again, hopefully with videos and pictures, I'm also hoping to restart the @airurandojindeshou instagram if I can find the password!

It'll be a few days yet before I can revise enough for another blogpost but stay tuned in the meantime!

TLDR: I'm relearning Japanese after four years away from it and am restarting the blog so I can (hopefully) share resources for students in need!

Anime that I'm watching this summer

1. Sword Art Online
Wow I regret not starting this one sooner! Okay so this is an anime where all these characters are stuck in a VR game that is more or less World of Warcraft. In order to escape this world, the 10,000 players must clear all 100 floors of the game! I geniunely adore Kirito, he is by far my favourite anime character! I'm still on season 1 but so far it's amazing!

2. Free! Iwatobi Swim Club - Eternal Summer / 50% Splash Free
This is like every fan girl's dream anime. Nothing but pure fan service mixed in with a fantastic storyline! (If you don't ship Haru with water, are you really a Free! fan?) I watched the first season two years ago but never got around to Eternal Summer so I'm excited to see the rest of the gang. I also must start rewatching  50% Splash Free, the adbridged version of Free! It's worth watching just for Nagisa's newfound gangsterness.

3. Attack on Titan
I started watching this last summer but only got to about episode 10 so I'm finishing it off this summer. The Mannah was unreal and the anime matches up to it! I'm really excited for season 2, which is coming out in 2017! Hopefully the manga will be finished then and we'll know what happens to Eren and the gang soon.

I'll probably end up finding more anime soon thanks to Crunchyroll but for the moment I'm gonna focus on these three and get up to date! If you have any suggestions for me or want to discuss any anime please drop a comment ^.^

レビンーセートのテスト!

こんにちは!

I'm just after finishing all three of my orals including my Japanese one! It was たのしかったですね!My examiner was a sweetheart and it was definitely my favourite oral exam by far. I got my favourite speech, 日本に行ったら, but sadly I got my least favourite picture, the しゅうがくりょこう! たいへんでつね!

I'll be starting to post tips for the Japanese oral for the 2017 crowd, who I will be glad to share my notes with! I'll also be putting up some sample essays of what you could prepare for the 2016 written exam aswell. 私はいそがしいでしょう!

きっとかつ!(Kit-kats)

Hello again!
I'm just after finishing my mock Leaving Cert exams and I had to say goodbye to one of my lovely Japanese subs, Ueno せんせい, last Tuesday. As a going away gift, she gave us all green tea flavoured kit-kats.

I hadn't a notion of what it meant until I decided to research the kit-kats online! So in Japan, you give kit-kats to students doing university entrance exams, the Japanese  equivalent of the Leaving Certificate. The kit-kats are pronounced きっとかつ in Japanese, which is also Japanese for good luck!
In Japan, they have many unusual flavours of Kit-Kats, including green tea, strawberry cake, white chocolate and blueberry. Isn't that way more interesting than just plain milk chocolate? Maybe someday when I go to Japan, I'll just buy all the different kit-kat flavours. おいしいです!
